Linnea
What are your opinions on the name Linnea? I've met a few in my lifetime, and they were great.

Ok
I think it's boring. I've noticed it seems very popular on BtN.
It doesn't seem to travel well. I've never come across one in South Africa. Very many Lynn and Linda people, and Lindsay/Lindsey as well. And a couple of Lyndall ones. In my order of preference they'd be Lyndall; Lindsey; Lindsay; Linda; and finally Lynn. And Linnea seems like a fussied-up Lynn, although I know its floral origin, so I wouldn't use it at all.
Boring, and a tad dated. But then Iäm a Swede, where Linnea is a very popular name. I've known loads.
I've met one, who is kinda high strung and stuck up.
It sounds pretty, but a little fancy for me. I prefer just Lynn.

I like it. It's really pretty. The only one I've met was my friend from elementary school's mom.
I'm honestly surprised you've met people in real life named Linnea; I expected to find that you were Swedish on your profile, but it says North America. Are you in an area with a high Scandinavian population?
As for the name itself, I think it's beautiful. My preferred pronunciation is li-NAY-ah, but sometimes I'm afraid it'll be read as LIN-ee-ə without the accent (Linnéa). Linnaea, meanwhile, just looks weird to me, even if the pronunciation is no longer ambiguous.

My family has loads of Swedish ancestry, but I'm an American. I've met 6 in the USA, all at separate times. One of them wasn't Scandinavian, and her family was of Irish ancestry.
Attractive.
