Re: Some English names

Tamara if pronounced TAM-ə-rə is ok. I've been correcting my husband for two years on how to pronounce it. My cousin is named Tamara and it's pronounced that way. He CONTINUALLY pronounces it like tu-MA-rə or tə-MAR-ə. While technically not incorrect, it just doesn't sound as nice. Tamara is usually a very low-class, ghetto name where I live, especially with the latter pronunciations.
I don't mind Gillian but I think it looks better as Jillian if you're going to pronounce it as a J instead of G.
I like Ainslie well enough. Never seen it spelled that way. I've always seen Ainsley or Ansley where I live.
