Daniel
Daniel has been a longtime favorite of mine. Is it still a nice classic or is it boring?*******************Personal Name List:https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/187938Guilty Pleasure Name List:https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/187938/140061

I think it’s a lovely name. Classic, handsome but it also has a soft, gentle quality to it that I really enjoy.Dan is terrible and Danny is okay but I MUCH prefer the full version.

I've always liked Daniel. It's one of the few classic boy names that I'm not completely bored by. I don't love Dan as a nickname, but I do like Danny.

Solid but still boring.

I like it very much. It's a family name on DH's side: they had a tradition, which no longer exists, of using an H- name with Daniel as the mn, and also the name that was actually used. No clue why: it goes back to the 19th century so there's nobody to ask.I would use Daniel readily. It's fine as a full name, and I also like Dan as a nn. Not Danny, though. It's not boring where I live. I only know one English-speaking Daniel, the son of a friend. It's more popular among Afrikaans parents, but of course then it sounds different.
