Its a sophisticated and ageless name. Despite its commonness I've never met a martin before, so its not "old" to me. I like the NN Marty, but not Mart. Might be because of Madagascar.Martin Evander and Martin Xavier are great combos. Martin also makes a good middle name. Christopher Martin, Daniel Martin, Richard Martin, Theodore Martin... classic names sound good with other classic names. A martin is also a bird. Another great association.
