Thoughts on Maisie?
I've thought about naming my child Maisie, but I'd like some other opinions on the name. What do you think?

I don't think it would age well. I have known a few Maisies, it wasn't good.
I love Maisie. It's such a sweet name, but it has a little bit of sass too. I'd use it in a heartbeat.
I used to think it was cutesy, but then I met my friend Maisie and now the name seems badass - that's a personal association, though. It's a pretty name with a nice sound and spelling and a lovely meaning. My friend doesn't really like her name and wishes she was named Margaret or another name and called Maisie for short. But if you really only like Maisie, go for it. It's a good name.

I prefer it as a nickname. Perhaps if you were to name her May (Mae) or Mabel, you could call her Maisie but she'd still have a more adult name to use if she felt the need to. And if she didn't, then fine, she could be just Maisie all her life, but I feel the same about just about all nicknames-as-full-names: rather give a child more options than fewer. You lose nothing, and the child might well gain.
Too cutesy.
I like the sound, but I can only picture it on a child (and maybe a nice old lady) not an adult woman.
I love this name. I like both spellings, Maisie or Maisy, just a very pretty name. I also love that it means pearl.
It's very pretty and cute, with a nice sound.
