Leila or Angeline?
Leila (lay - luh) or Angeline?
Replies
Definitely Leila. It's pretty, has a nice meaning, and is easy without being too common.
Angeline sounds okay but it's too close to very dated Gen X names like Angela and Angelina.
ETA: since people are mentioning Layla, I'll throw in my thoughts on that: Layla looks to young and frivolous to me, Leila still looks young but it ages well and seems more put-together and quietly confident.

Angeline
Leila
We had this on our longer list. I really like it. Angeline has a more bland feel to it.

I like both. However, something does feel awkward about Angeline. It feels incomplete, so I think I would prefer Evangeline, or Angelina.
Angeline
IRL I'd avoid them both. Hypothetically, I'd take Angeline, because there is only one pronunciation, or I hope there is!
Angeline
I think the prn of Leila is confusing (lay-la/lie-la). My initial response it that it's prn lie-la.
However despite the above I prefer the name Angeline. It's sounds very pretty and sophisticated. I know many Leila/Layla/Lila's and it's just blah.

Angeline! Leila's too flighty.
