I think it gets a lot of undue hate. I really like it.

It sounds like it'd be a good fit for a suave British vampire character, or maybe that'd be too cliche.

Fun fact: if my sibling were born a boy, their name would be George. Mine would have been Pierce. It's my grandfather's middle name and my great grandfather's first name.

Don't really like it

I'm used to the surname, Pearce. I'm also used to Piers, pronounced with a z sound (as in She peers round the door). But Pierce just sounds like the verb, as if every time you say the name you are sticking a needle or pin into something. Or someone. I quite like Piers, but I named my son Peter.

I've heard people say this is a violent sounding name, but I kind of like it. I think it's handsome.
