Noel
What's everyone's feelings and impressions of Noel for a boy? It's pronounced NO-el where I'm living and it's strictly masculine here so no confusion there.
Let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure. PNL: http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/45898

I like like name Noel enough. I most definitely prefer Noelle, Natalia, and Noelia if we’re talking festive names for a girl here, and I don’t find Noël anymore feminine either - but it’s not a horrible name for a girl. Better than James at least. So, I like Noel, but I prefer Noël, it’s just so beautiful. Makes me get into the Christmas spirit just looking at it.

Hi !!!I really like Noël.
I prefer this rather than the one with 'e'.I find this name lovely and evocative but I'd use it only for a boy born at Christmas or at least born one day before (the 24th). Not any other day.

I like it very much: same pronunciation as yours, and also male-only, where I live. Girls get Noelle, pronounced noWELL, which I find unattractive and unFrench! I wouldn't use it; I have no Christmassy associations with it, but others do, and since I'm not religious I choose to avoid it. But I far prefer Noel to Neil, for instance.

It’s quite dated in the UK, but I still like it. I have a family member with this name who pronounces it like “noll”.
