People that you know in person are more likely to share your experiences and perspectives, more likely to want to please you, and less likely to know a lot about names. Around here you’ll find different perspectives, honest answers and tons of onomastic knowledge.
At the end of the day, you like what you like. I know many people who hate my taste and my daughter’s name. Be secure in your knowledge of what’s right for you, because if you just go around seeking affirmation you might find the opposite.
