Colleen Ballinger's twins
Colleen Ballinger(Miranda Sings) recently had twins, a boy and a girl, and she named them Maisie Joanne and Wesley Koy! What do you think? Are they good twin names? Do they sound well together? Just give an honest opinion!
Replies
Maisie Joanne is cute in a retro way. Wesley Koy sounded average at first but the more I look at it the more it grows on me, it sounds fresh and vibrant.
Maisie = daisies and straw hats and meadows with grazing dairy cows
Joanne = too dated, not ready for a comeback, and now associated with the queen of the terfs. I like Joan, Joanna, and Johanna. Joan is too strong and serious for Maisie, but Joanna or Johanna would have worked much better than Joanne.
Wesley = never got popular enough to become dated; still sounds bright and youthful. But I hate when people pronounce the s like a z.
Koy = I've seen Coy as a name so I think this works. Although I almost think it would be better to use Koi like the fish. I like how it sounds with Wesley, the combo looks young and happy & reminds me of bright colors (especially red and a cyan-ish blue).

Aw, it’s kinda cute.
Maisie is really cute. I like that it’s a bit cutesy, but like Elsie, it can still age pretty well. Though personally I would use the spelling Maisy. Joanne is nice. I like to put emphasis on the -anne sound. Overall I give Maisie Joanne a 7/10.
Wesley Koy? I don’t know. Wesley is better than Wiley granted, but I can’t say I like it either. Koy? Now that just sounds kinda silly. Wesley Koy gets a 4/10. At least it looks nice. It has a decent flow too.

I used to be really into Wesley when I was younger to the point where I was certain I would use it someday when I was a teenager. I still like it fine but I'm just not as into it anymore, like running into an old crush. Sure, they're still kind of cute but the feelings are gone. Though it's still one of my back ups as a last ditch idea if all else fails. It's safe, decent.
Maisie Joanne is reasonably cute. Not necessarily my taste but it's okay. I have no qualms with it one way or the other. It makes me think of an early to mid 20th century British baby.
Koy is weird.

I wouldn't give twins rhyming names. Maisie is pleasantly retro, but I really don't enjoy hyper-Methodist Wesley. No doubt she used Koy for a reason, but it sounds like the dictionary word 'coy', which is not an attractive attribute: perhaps it would have been worth thinking about an extra middle name, Wesley Jason Koy or something. It would change nothing, but it would serve to dilute the impact of Koy. Joanne is, I'm sure, all right: I prefer Joan and especially Joanna, but it does give little Maisie a nicer mn than her brother. All in all, she scores.
Hyper-Methodist?
The names go ok together, Kai would have been better than Koy, which I don't like at all
Koy is a family name, but I see your point
Maisie and Wesley are independently fine, but they don't sound great together. Since they both have an S in the middle and end with the ee sound, they are too similar to really compliment one another.
Maisie Joanne is an okay combo but not my style. Maisie sounds like a grandmother. I infinitely prefer Joanna and even Joan to Joanne.
Wesley Koy does not look great. The double Y is awkward and unwieldy. Wesley Koi would look better appearance wise, but I doubt the parents would want to name a kid after a fish.

They used family names for all their names, I do prefer Maisie more than Maisy, it seems cleaner
