Annabelle never looks "complete" to me unless it is spelled thusly. I never understood the appeal of any other spelling because both Anabelle & Annabel looks like a child in kindergarten can't spell their own name correctly. Annabel particularly looks like someone cut of the end of it with hedge clippers. I can't stand the asthetics of Acacia the double C's in different places is very unattractive to me.Please rate my "Names I would Use" list. Feel free to rate some of my other lists too if you want.

Would it help you to know that Annabel was originally Amabel, and the m in medieval handwriting looked like nn, and came to be pronounced as if that is what it was? So most people would guess that Annabelle means Beautiful Anna and by now they are probably correct; historically it means Lovable.

I generally prefer names with rounded off E's or A's just in general a lot of times. Not exclusively obviously but it just looks better to me.
