Sara Belle (Double First Name)
What are your thoughts on the double first name:
Sara Belle / Sara-Belle ?Hyphen or no hyphen?Does the portmanteau name Sarabel work?Market women who talk all at once

It's a pretty common old-fashioned combination in the southeastern US (I was just looking at my extended family tree and saw more than one Sarah Belle).I don't have a preference about the hyphen. The portmanteau looks nice, but reminds me of cerebellum.I'd like Seraphine and Claribel more.

I love Seraphine. Claribel is pretty!

The combo is semi-creative and pretty. It spices up Sara, but probably not Belle who is fine by herself.Similar to Felie, I dislike the look of hyphens. It splits the name in half for no reason. Why isn't a space enough? But then again, without the hyphen, it just looks like a first name and a middle name, not a double name. Its really confusing. I'd go for Sarabelle because it looks more finished than Sarabel (the "cerebral" and "terrible" comments have temporarily killed it for me). Or I'd use Sara Belle. 8/10 combo.

cerebellum ...Really bad idea.
In the book "Child of God" by Cormac McCarthy, a character owns a junkyard or dump and once found a medical book in the trash. He had something like a dozen daughters and named them out of the medical book: Urethra, Hernia Sue, and Sara Bella.

One would assume if a daughter was going to be named after body parts Iris would be first on the list.. ha

I kinda like Sara Belle. Belle is a little cliché as a middle, but it’s sweet and pretty. I can see why.It doesn’t need a hyphen, but Sara-Belle would look nice. Sarabel looks too much like a mushed together name and just ends up looking like a cow name.

Not my style, but it's quite pretty I like Sara-Belle best. With Sarabel I'm tended to pronounce it sa-rabel instead of Sara-bel

I was really into this and Sarabella as a high schooler, not quite as into it now as it reminds me too much of cerebellum but I still think it's kinda cute, yes

I like Sara Belle (without the hyphen)

Belle doesn't appeal to me, alone or as half of a double. And I don't find Sara(h) atractive. I suppose that I'd prefer Sara Belle to Sarabel, which if you don't identify the components could rhyme with Terrible.

Hi !!!I prefer:
Sara Belle
Sarabel
Sara-BelleI dislike hyphenated names. Sarabel is new to me. Not bad! At least Sarabel is recognizable and not too creative but I still prefer Sara Belle.
