I want to like it- in a way, given that I tend to gravitate towards -er suffix names in general, but I just can't warm up to this one. It sounds like a disease to me, besides being too surname-y

I actually really like it. It's not my normal style, but I like it.

This is one of my favorite names for boys. It never occurred to me that some people like this on girls. But as Felie said, Flick is a really nice nickname! And that happens to be unisex. It sounds quite gender neutral to me. I prefer that diminutive over Fletch, which is kind of harsh to my ears. Flick comes out softer.
Fletcher on girls? I'm not a fan, but I don't think its "ugly" or "tacky".

Too close to feltcher. If you don't know what that is, I wouldn't google it.

I'm scared to google it now.
Can you explain it in PG terms? For the children? XD

It is literally unexplainable in PG terms.

I see. I'd rather stay ignorant for now.
