English influence.For example, here in Spain:Vanessa, Jessica, Jennifer, Michael, Kevin and Richard started being used in the late 80's and early 90's, and peaked since then.

I understand but why the early 2000s like was there a movie or show with that name that was popular in Italy with the name Michelle?
