I think it's cute, but would probably be odd on a modern child where I live.

I love Rupert! It makes me think of the bear, which makes me like it even more. I loved that show as a kid.

Would be much nicer if the cartoon British bear had been named something else.

I personally like Rupert much more than Robert or Roberto.

I used too think it was too boring and stuffy, like a more uptight Robert but due to a Youtuber I watch having had a son named Rupert this past year I've slowly warmed up to it after many years of indifference to dislike. They will sometimes call him Rue for short and I think it is darling. I have grown to a moderate to high liking as of late.
