It's a fun name, though very closely tied to the Ramona Quimby books. When I picture a grown-up Ramona I don't picture Ramona Quimby all grown up; for some reason I see this big red-haired bruiser with megaphone lungs hollering at the girls' hockey team she coaches when she isn't tending bar at the local dive where most of the public defender's trade usually gets started. lol

This is my mom's favorite girl name. She wanted to use it for all 3 of her daughters, tried to get Sarah to use it for Ruby, and eventually used it for her own car. I think she thinks it's fun and offbeat and colorful, and she likes Ramona Quimby. I get where she's coming from. It really would have suited lil Ruby, who is way mischievous and fun and dressed up as R Quimby this halloween.

I was just reminded of The Ramona books series by Beverly Cleary. It's kinda nice and can see how someone would use it now.
