This is a PlaySkool name. It has the same appeal & sophistication as toy truck packaging aimed at the 7-9 male demographic.

I guess I could feel differently after knowing one for a while, but ... I think it'd take me a while.
To get over my strong associations with "ride 'er," and rental trucks, and riders on bills or contracts, and bus passengers. And equestrians, but that seems to come last, and even that is unappealing as a name, to me.

Quite wordy (particularly Rider). I prefer Ryden.
I always hated this name for some reason. Ryker is slightly better.
I think of the actor Rider Strong. (Who also has a very cool middle name) I always liked Ryder. It’s a cool name that’s somewhat refreshing.
