Re: Opinions on these names
GIRLS
Mila - unfamiliar to me; lacks personality
Riley - just another lnfn, bland and boring
Peri/Perie/Perry/Perrey (Which spelling do you like best?) - dislike all versions
Willow - I think of weeping, and of cricket bats. Prefer Willa.
Clara - nice if it's CLAHra, not if it's CLAIRa. I prefer Clare.
Ezki - isn't this an alternative transcription of Ezgi? I don't enjoy the sound of either.
Selie - far prefer Sally, or Selena.
Saela - why not spell it Sailor and get it over with?
Amelie - far prefer Emily
Juliette - fine in French; I would use Juliet as a mn
Rosalie - rather sentimental but OK: I'd use Rosemary or, especially, Rosamond.
Ezgi - see Ezki
Selin - sellin'? Buyin' and selin'? No, really.
BOYS:
Noah - starts with No; commemorates a very strange hero; unattractive to me
Toby - works wonderfully well on my cat and well enough on humans
Emilio - where I live, people use Emil; I don't mind it
Riley - see the GIRLS list
Robin - excellent; much more interesting that Robert. I'd use it happily.
Jacob - uber-Biblical and uninteresting
Leo - apex predator! I prefer Leonie for a girl

Hello and thank you for the response. Saela/Sæla is actually an Icelandic name pronounced as Sie-la (Not sure if that’s a good description of the pronunciation but the first syllable is more like the word sigh), and different to sailor but I can see the confusion. Thanks :)
