That's also how I usually pronounce it: two syllables.

I like it

I prefer the second syllable to sound more like 'ehl', the way it is said during Christmas, but as long as it's not 'null', it's okay. I think it's pleasantly plain as two syllables, but I don't like it as one.I've got a couple male family members named it.

The Noel I know pronounces it like NOL. The Joel I know however pronounces it like jo-ELL. I feel like either pronounciation is fine but for a girl Noelle is much better.

I like Noel, it's a name I could use. I don't really like how it's pronounced in English though.

I like it quite a lot. It does have religious overtones, so I wouldn't use it myself, but I much prefer it to Neil, for instance, and I also like it for a girl. I find Noelle unappealing.

I don't like it at all

I must admit, Noel is more appealing than Noah.
(Pronunciation and spellingwise).
The letter L makes the sound and the name itself more 'complete'.
And it's pretty unisex, in my opinion, (if that matters).
