Dean is nice enough. It’s a fairly inoffensive classic. Piper is kind of obnoxious and dated.

I actually think they go beyond "not matchy" into the "weird clash" territory. They seem totally different styles.

I dislike both names about equally - no, Piper is worse - which probably means that people who like one will like the other. So, yeah, go right ahead.

This looks good to me since the names aren't too similar to each other. As a twin myself, I think twin names shouldn't be overly matchy. Like, it's okay if the names have the same meaning or are both characters in a book or something, but names that are obviously anagrams or clearly chosen because they rhyme aren't a great idea.

To me they feel wildly mismatched. Additionally I just don't really like the sound of Dean.
