Re: Margot?

Every time I see Margot, (ok, maybe every other time), I remember the quote I found while searching for the information about that name.
"Sophia looked at me. I told her, "Mom thought Margot with a t was higher class."
"First time I saw it written that way was on the wedding invitations," Gram said.
"...I told Jeffrey the next time he came to call, 'Mar-gott will be down in a minute.' He laughed because he thought I was joking but I was serious. I honestly assumed people pronounced the t."
Yeah, I know now how Margot got its t, but I always prefer just Margo.
It's a nice name with a stylish -o ending!

When I hear/see Margot I always think of this quote, from the Christmas Vacation movie:
Todd : Well, something had to come through the window! Something had to break the stereo!
Margo : And why is the carpet all wet, *Todd*?
Todd : I don't *know*, Margo!
[They both look at each other, then in the direction of Clark's house]
lol. It feels very 80s to me because of it. And a bit pretentious. It just very unpleasant to me.
