Re: Catherine, Jane, or Anne? (m)
I like Jane and Catherine, but prefer Katherine at the moment (I used to prefer Catherine for years).I never cared for Anne, no matter the spelling. I find it very bland and boring, especially because so many women have it as their middle name. I like "Anne of Green Gables", but apart from that I don't care for it. I know that some people think it's charming in its simplicity, but I prefer other names from that category like May or Lynn. Annabel is nice.Jane is also overused as a middle name but it's very no-nonsense and strong and always makes me think of "Mary Poppins". I wouldn't use it, but I like it. I think it will have a comeback.Catherine is overused but there are lots of nicknames and it is more classic than the other two. I like Katherine better because that makes more sense for the nicknames Katie and Kitty. I guess I'd do Catherine nn Catie.Catherine Eleanor Aisling. It needs two middle names and one that is a bit more unusual, especially with a common surname. Please rate my list: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/6232
