Vanessa
Vanessa has been one of my favourite names for a long, long time.
It is beautiful without being pretentious, and begins with an uncommon letter.
Thoughts?
Is it dated?

I'm with you, it's so pretty and distinct. I would love to have a student named Vanessa and if my partner really liked it I would consider using it.
Maybe I'll change my Jane combo to Jane Vanessa. HEHEHE!!!!

It is a classic. Being a genus of butterflies makes it even the more lovely.
I think it's lovely
Vanessa is super pretty. I don’t think it’s ever been popular here so that’s also a plus. It’s a very pleasant sound and it also looks good in writing
It's a beautiful name, and always seems youthful even though it isn't as popular now as it was in the past. Seems to still be very popular with Hispanic families, from what I can tell.
It's a glamorous and sophisticated name, but not intimidating like the also-glamorous Justine or Desiree.

I've liked all the Vanessa people I've known, and there haven't been many. I don't think it was ever popular enough to be dated. I like it, but not enough to use - too many names I like better, but it's still good.
