I associate this name with an older woman. It sounds too harsh and I just don't like it. Sorry.

Hi Perrine !!!I like Gretchen.
It has the same vibe of Gretel: in my mind they are fairy-tale names and lovely-German-girl names. I know that this is a cliché but well... I see Gretel and Gretchen only in books and movies and when I see them the fictinal owners are born in 1930s or earlier. Both are 8/10.

I really like it. It should sound harsh, but it's actually quite cute. I think it would work well on all ages.

I'm sorry, but I dislike it a lot.I see no comeback - it's dated, it has a bad sound and it doesn't look good.However, it isn't that bad, you can get Greta as a nickname. I prefer Gretel, I don't get why it didn't become popular.
