It's the first syllable. Bewwwww sounds so whiny to me. I don't hate the name, but I don't like it. I also don't like the meaning. I would like it slightly more if it were pronounced Bow-la.

Interesting! Bow-lah for me is just “bowler” so that would make me like it a lot less! Unless you mean bow to rhyme with now of course, in which case it sounds like bowel, haha.
