I like it pretty well ever since I met one. It comes off pagan or outdoorsy, and not cold and silly like occupational surnames usually do. But it has enough surnaminess to be preppy if it needed to be. To me it seems, oddly, a little more pagan, but also way more preppyish, when it's on a gal. I'm OK with it, but I like it better for a guy.- mirfak
