i think its outdated now
I think it's ok
I'd be amazed to meet a young Annette. Most of them seem to date back to the 1940s and 1950s. It doesn't appeal to me, mostly because I find the rhythm unattractive.
I'm not the biggest fan of -ette names. I don't mind flowery names but -ette is just too cutesy for me.
Annette
Colette
Georgette
Yvette
Marinette
Antoinette
Cosette
Babette
Nanette
Courgette ... j/k, but you get my meaning
There are some exceptions: Juliette, Henriette, etc that don't come off cutesy, but for the most part it's just too much for me. Though I suppose that, of all of them, Annette is the least cutesy of the overly cutesy.

I think it's pretty. Very uncommon in today's world. It would also make a wonderful middle name, too. I like the name Annette. It's very classy and it's time for a comeback.
I've been thinking about it a lot since watching Leos Carax's Annette. I love that it's pert and brassy but also a little meek. I also love Nanette.
