Amy
After coming across two women in today’s newspapers one called Amie Nicole and the other Ami Lee it got me thinking. WDYT of Amy and what is your preferred spelling? Amy
Aimee
Ami
Amie
Aymee

Amy is okay I guess. Very bland, kind of lacking in personality if I’m being honest for a second. This is definitely my preferred spelling but the others are fine besides Aymee.

Amy is totally one of my faves! I also like the Aimee spelling, or even Aimée.

Where I live, Amy is the default spelling and the name peaked about 30 years ago, judging from the many Amy people I know and know of. I have never liked it: my mother's boss was an Amy and she was a nice person but I always felt she deserved a better name. It seems trite and lacking in personality to me.

It’s my name so I like it. If it weren’t I’d definitely think it was a name for fat people in their 60’s.
7/10 and I like the spellings Amy and Ami

I like it both as a standalone name or a diminutive. My preferred spelling is Amy, but I also like Aimee because of Welsh singer Duffy (Aimee is her given name).

I like Amy, as a nickname for Amelia. I only like the Amy spelling - all the others look "off" to me.Ami is ah-mee to me as well, since that's how the only girl I know who uses that spelling says it.

There were three different bullies named this during my schooldays, all with different spellings - Amy, Amie and Aimee. I’ve always disliked the name in any form.
