Ignatius
What is your opinion of Ignatius? **After supposedly dying on January 30, 2007 after eating tainted pancakes, she returned several times as an angel and was revealed to be alive on May 17, 2011. )**

Love Ignatius. Obscure medieval saints are a personal yen. Plus, "i" names are rare. Finish all that up with the adorably awkward sound of Ignatius and I'm hooked. Variant Ignatz too. Nn Iggy, Nate?Btw, feminine Ignatia / Ignacia is too cute. :0)

Like most South Africans, I associate it with an international rugby player: Afrikaans speaker, so the pronunciation is very different. He was always known as Naas, and had a brother named Darius. Naas Botha was a brilliant player, but his strength was his ability to kick, mostly either scoring for his team or slowing down the game and frustrating the opposition: good for the scoreboard, bad for the game as fun and as a spectacle.ETA I should mention that non-South African sports commentators/journalists had difficulty with Afrikaans pronunciation and also with Naas's unpopular style of play, and referred to him pointedly as Nasty Booter. Which he took as a tribute!

I have positive feelings towards the name, I went to school with an Ignatius (brothers Alexander and...Henry? I think) so it seems very usable to me.
