I dislike it. It's just too harsh for me. The only thing I like is the Shakespeare association. Oh and I love Jessie. I'd rather see just Jessie or Jessamine nn Jessie. It is the harsh J combined with the harsh S and K sounds. It's just unpleasant. And I can't stand Jess which seems to be what most Jessicas get called.Jessica - harsh, dated, boring but okay
Jess - terrible
Jessie - cute

It’s okay I guess, but not that good. The meaning and etymology is interesting.

Jessica is snazzy. I considered it when I was pregnant with my second, but he turned out to be a boy. Of course I love him to pieces, but there went my chance to use Jessica. I would have promoted the nn Jessie.

I'd use it today except for the fact I have a good friend named Jessica. (She is nearly eighty.)

Not particularly dated where I live. I like it a lot, but not as much as Jennifer, which isn't particularly dated here either.

It's definitely dated but I don't particularly hate it. Maybe because I'm fond of the 'Jess' sound. And I like Erica.
