I like it. It’s my favorite Paul- name behind Paulina (though I like Paulette too, and even Paula to an extent). I do prefer it spelled Pauline, though.

Paulene reminds me of Paulette. Extra, and unneeded. Pauline itself is so much better.

Hate Paula. Paulene looks misspelled(my iPad agrees).

I don't see the point. Why not Pauline? I prefer Paula to Pauline, but Paulene looks unconvincing. And I wouldn't use either, because I much prefer Paul for a boy to any of the fem forms.
