Tinkerbelltherealgoddess
A woman in West London has finally managed to get her new middle name on her passport.
The middle name is Tinkerbell the real goddess written as one word so Tinkerbelltherealgoddess.
My first thought is just Why??????
WDYT?
Her original middle name was Simone. WDYT of Simone?

Ridiculous. Tinkerbell would of been a little bit better.
I have avoided this question for the past few days because the answer should be obvious and doesn’t even need an explanation, but I might as well share my input.
The stupid, and quite frankly just questionable. Copyright reasons? I found that part hilarious. Simone is beautiful and better even if it is kinda filler-y.

It ‘s ridiculous but then she’s an adult who’s chosen it for herself, so…
Simone is pretty.
Simone is pretty.
Well, it's certainly more ostentatious than Simone. I can see how it could be fun as a chosen name, but Tinkerbell would have been cooler...or if that had copyright issues, something like Tinkerbell-Titania would have been grander.

I think it's cute, but it's obviously not good in any professional setting.
Something tells me that a person who would fight so hard to have their middle name officially recognized as “Tinkerbelltherealgoddess” would already be looking for (or would have found) a work situation where this wouldn’t matter.
Looked her up.
She is REALLY into fairies
The issue was apparently with copyright... what? Why on earth would copyright be an issue for somebody's legal name. They said she needs permission from Disney? And then Great Ormond Street Hospital (who own the copyright to Peter Pan)? and then back to Disney !!! The people in the passport office are just cruelly taking the piss.
I was actually going to suggest that she did it to get this exact media attention, but it appears that she has a legitimate reason to bring it to the media. The passport office are idiots and this should be looked into

It's weird, yeah, but it's a middle name so it basically doesn't matter for daily life.
That's crazy, Simone is ok
Overcompensating.
In Peter Pan, the human children meet Tinkerbell in Never-Never Land and think her name is beautiful; then Peter explains that it's an occupation name and she mends the fairies' pots and pans ...
I'm slowly warming up to Simon as a male name. But Simone really doesn't appeal. The French pronunciation is better, but it never gets used where I live. Simone is always siMOAN, which is unattractive.

If she likes it, good for her.
This kind of thing is like low hanging fruit. No one is going to like it so it’s just a chance for people to be jerks, like, “Look how terrible this person’s taste in names is! Aren’t they silly!” It’s kind of boring.

In response to your added question:
I like Simone, I like the sound and the appearance, but I somehow forget that it’s the feminine of Simon and whenever I remember that it ruins Simone. Simon is so inelegant.
