Brandy
How bad is Brandy?I must say I sort of like it but it seems like those universally hated names.I know it's alcohol but it gives me more of a "hobbit sitting in front of a fireplace telling stories and sipping brandy while the autumn leaves are falling" vibe than a "drunk" vibe. Alcohol is part of many cultures and rituals after all and brandy seems like more of an armchair and fireplace drink than a getting drunk sort of drink. It gives me a warm autumnal vibe.Thoughts?I can't stand Brandi and Brandee or Brandie but Brandy is nice to me.Please rate my list: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/6232

I honestly think it’s too bad for me to use, but I still kind of like it.

Not a favorite but it's not bad. I think it has a pretty sound. I don't think so much of the liquor than I do the singer, who I was a big fan of in the 90s.

It's badIt's irredeemably tacky to me, which can, of course, be fun depending on your intentions.I also think the name sounds ugly (too whiny).

Well first things first, it definitely reminds me of the singer and actress. She’s not a bad person so the namesake isn’t horrible.Brandy does give me a warm autumn vibe though as you said. I also don’t care for the spellings Brandi, Brandee, or Brandie. It’s just ugly. The name itself is fine. Warm, and sweet. I don’t really see anything wrong with it. Even the fact it’s the name of an alcohol doesn’t bother me. Names like Jameson, Midori and stuff are still used regardless.I actually knew some European sibset with alcoholic middle names. Jameson, Sherry, and Burgundy. Just not so much in an obvious way. The family definitely liked colors and wine. I kind of have a soft spot for those types of names.
