Letitia
I was wandering around an old cemetery the other day, and one of the few exciting female names I came across on the tombstones was Letitia. I never really think of this name - I guess some part of me doesn't like it (I think because I knew a Leticia "Letty" once who was annoying), but it has a lovely meaning and in terms of Victorian names it's quite unexpected and rather refreshing. What do you think of Letitia?

Ooooh, Letitia is so pretty! Laetitia is a gorgeous variation and I also enjoy Letizia, like the Spanish queen. When I see the Leticia spelling, my head keeps trying to convince me that it says Morticia.

I like it.And as a nickname, I prefer Leta over Letty.

It's one of my favorite names currently (I might slightly prefer Laetitia, though). I didn't used to like it, I think because it reminds me of Patricia, but it's grown on me recently...helps that it has a nicer meaning, isn't as dated, and doesn't shorten to Patty.

I've long loved Letitia. It's lacy, brocaded, and sophisticated but not without bite. Letty is one of my favorite nicknames (out of the nicknames for all names). How do you feel about Laetitia? I've been partial to it lately.
