I was just thinking of the name this morning! I was telling someone that I tend to like names from folk songs, and Susannah is one of them :) It's a lovely name, quaint and warm without being cutesy. I'm perpetually surprised that it's not more popular - it has the same sort of feel as the very popular Hannah, Norah, and Sarah to me.
I've never met a Susannah. I knew a Susanna, which I don't like nearly as much. That H on the end is very important.
I love the idea of a Susannah called "Sunny". Although I also like Suzy and Sukie as nicknames.
