It works for me. It actually makes more sense for me as a boy's name although I'm not sure why. Maybe because it reminds me of Basil?
I am pretty sure I knew a boy with the middle name Sage. I used to run in the kinds of circles where people would call their kids that sort of thing.
It gives me 90s witchcraft sort of vibes, which is a nice nostalgic feeling for me. I like it!
