I prefer Ione: Iona is a lovely island but, to me anyway, not particularly human. Not that I'd use Ione either, but I do prefer it!

Don't like it, have to be careful with surname and teasing. One girl at school last name Ramsbottom, not good at all

I had a friend named Iona. She was very precocious as she lost her virginity at 13 and was advocating kids around my age and stuff to do the same. (I was like 10 and 11 at the time) She was still a decently nice person, but I have very mixed associations with the name.

The name itself? Pretty. I think it exotic look and sound. I think this is also one name I would like to see used to more often. It has potential.
