I worked with someone who named her newborn either Sophia or Sophie around 1991. At the time I thought it was an interesting choice as a name I hadn't heard used for babies. Since then I've grown a little tired of Sophia, Sophie, Sofia and Sofie. These names still are cute but getting boring.
