Eric
What do you think of the name Eric?I always think this is the ultimate friendly masculine name. All the Eric's I know are good people.

It's my pop's name. It was popular in the 100's of the most popular baby names. He wished his name was Aaron. However, he grew to be fine with it and even had a friend also amed Eric who passed away. I only think of him whenever I hear the name Eric. I ran into kids with this name, I'm still suprised that it's still popular to this day. It's dated and a total dad like min(almost grandpa) name like Jeffrey / Jeff and Tony, but very strong. I might use it as a middle name for my son, maybe.

Hmm, you're lucky. A friend from uni had a ghastly Eric boyfriend and we all rejoiced when she broke up with him. He was quite spectacularly good-looking, but pathetically immature. I like Erich, but unless I lived in a German-speaking area I wouldn't use it. I also like Erica and could use it as a mn to honour a school friend who died too young.

I've certainly known some bad Erics, because there are just so many of them!I don't think I ever considered this a "friendly" name.... I thought of it as smart and attractive, a slightly dated classic like Michael. Dashing more than friendly.

Apperently 5 girls in 2015 were named Eric. I think it’s a handsome, and really cool masculine name. Eric is light, yet really dark. Sadly it reminds me of Eric Harris, but that doesn’t 100% ruin it for me. Not sure why somebody would use Eric on a female when the beautiful Erica is right in front of them. It’s like Alexander to Alexandra, or Theodore or Theodora.
