Winona + Cool Sibset
I just realized this is the name of the down my dad's step dad was born in, and it's also the name of my favorite song, Winona by Drop Nineteens (https://youtu.be/iXorpwa8Y30). Looking into it, Winona was named after the daughter of a settler who owned a hotel there, William Gwinn. Winona is also a ghost town, which is eerie and cool. It was a very important city when coal was a thing and now about 200 people live there. This makes me love this name so much! Just the hsitorical meaning, and the dreamy, sad song. What do you think though? The sibset
Valentina
Tatiana
Toussaint

I used to love Winona, and I'm still partial to it because that "nona" is so melancholy, but as a non-indigenous American, I'd feel uncomfortable using it.

Toussaint sounds like he wandered into the wrong family picture. You have a pair of sisters who sound like Russian ballerinas, and then you have Toussaint? Old-time Haitian sugar baron? Old-time New Orleans voodoo priest? Mid-20th-century French detective?Never liked Winona/Wenona/Wyonona. I know it's a real name, but it sounds like baby talk for Ramona or something. Also sounds a little like an early model of pickup truck.

I love that sibset. I prefer Valentine on a boy but I'm loving the whole energy of this group. Yes, good. Toussaint is an old favourite of mine!I gotta say, you were really selling the idea of Winona as this romantic, nostalgic, slightly tragic name to me (the fact that there is also a legend about a Winona leaping to her death to avoid a loveless marriage also helps) but that song totally broke the spell for me, sorry, lol. I do like Winona (and Wynona, and Wenonah, etc) though. I don't know if I'd feel comfortable using it, but I do think it's a great name.

I've always liked Winona; certainly the best way of achieving Winnie as a nn! But I never knew it was a town - thank you!Don't feel a thing for the sibset. Wouldn't work for me; does work for them; over and out.
