It's too tight and sinister for me. I like the sounds and a lot of similar names but this one doesn't do it for me.

Video...... killed the radio star. But really, "video" was the first thing I thought of.

I don't love it. Has a sort of aggressive look, maybe the word invidious. And video?
Vidya seems lovely though.

It makes me think of an Addams' Family name. Great Aunt Vidia Addams. There's some merit in that. It's dark and dramatic.

InvidiousYeah, not good.

I love Vidia. The potential meanings of "knowledge" or "beloved," depending on the origin, are both lovely. It reminds me of Lydia and Veda, but I like it more than either.

Normally this is the type of name I’d love, but there’s a regional accent around here where people would say “video” this way. My grandparents had it. They’d pronounce “mosquito” as “mis-KIT-ta” for example. “Potato” would be “pa-DAY-da”. (Like in Stompin’ Tom’s Ketchup Song if you need an example.)So for that very personal, local reason I’m out, but I’d love to see it get popular in other circles. It’s very pretty.

I concur - I was immediately reminded of family members who pronounce video this way.

I like it. Reminds me of the fairy from Tinker Bell. She also happened to be my second favorite, second only to Silvermist. When I read it just now it made me think of a vidalia onion, but that’s probably just me lol.It sounds pretty, and I like it almost as much as Vivian which is much more common.
