Re: Skye

Skye was the name of the MC in a historical romance that I found in my mom's closet. The book was written in the late 70s or early 80s, before Skye ever charted. It doesn't seem like that kind of name, and I thought it was painfully out of place in the story. Dumb on the character, but I think it works fine as a name for a real gal. I actually like it.
I don't like Sky as a full name so much. It's kind of a second-rate nature name. I'd rather Skye if it's a gal.
Sky short for Skylar (this spelling only, for a gal only) is fine.
Sky short for Schuyler (m) seems alright but I don't love it.
I don't like Schuyler on a gal at all, and Skyler looks incorrect to me, or like a riff on Tyler and Kyler.
But Skylar f is nice. Not exactly my style, but I think it's cool.
