Clover
What do you think of the name Clover?
Personally the name is growing on me. I think it would be especially cool on either:
A. A kid born on St. Patrick’s Day
B. A dog
"People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing all day."

Love it, especially for a boy. It's so beatnik but gentle.
Have a bit of a fondness for this one, though it's a bit cute. Giving it to a kid born on St. Patrick's day would be a bit much though.
Don't like it at all
A good name for a cow.
Well I’m most definitely in the minority here, but I LOVE the name Clover! I don’t see it as a silly name only suited to an animal, I really just don’t get that at all tbh! I’ve only met one Clover in my life and that’s when I was a teen. It’s on my list for future possible use and one of my top names actually.
I used to like it, but don't really anymore.
It's somehow even more self-consciously pastoral than Meadow and Sorrel.
I agree about cartoon baby animal vibe. I don't like the St Patricks Day gimmick, but it could suit a dog. Better a horse.
It also irritates me slightly that the word "lover" is right there. And "over." It's not as namey as it should be.
Clove and Clovis both seem better to me right now.

I think it’s only good for a pet.
Nice.
I agree, not to be used on a person born on st. Patrick's day. I like it though.
I knew a kid named Clover growing up. He was eccentric.
I think it's okay, but it doesn't do much for me, personally. I usually don't have a problem with names that end in -er, but that sound doesn't work for me with this name. I don't know why that is.

maybe because it just sounds funny?
I don't know why, it's a perfectly legitimate word, but as a name it's just so cartoon baby animal. Clover the Tap-dancing Bunny or something. Clover the Cow Who Didn't Want to Fly to the Moon.

This
It’s a perfectly fine name for a goat or cow.
