Pauline is a sweet, mild, non-ostentatious name that can tuck into your pocket like a good-luck charm. It never makes any of my combos, but I had a character named Pauline who could foresee people's deaths but was very sweet, and I've always had a soft spot for it

I don’t like it. I prefer Polly or Polina.

Anything's possible; but I'd prefer Paula to make a comeback. Pauline seems to have a built-in whine.

Here in the US there were a lot of French names used on the late baby boomers and early Gen X'ers era so we tend to associate those names with the middle aged moms at the moment. Pauline I'll bet will make a comeback eventually just not until it's circled back around again in a few decades when they're gone or near gone. Paulina I have seen making a re-entrance in a few circles though.

I always liked it. I think it’s a pretty name. I don’t like Paulina too much, a bit too frilly for my liking. (And I usually like frilly names) Paula is also nice.

I do like it. But I think Paulette might be my favorite "Paul-" name for women right now. Pauline could come back, but maybe not quite yet.

One of my favourite professors was a Pauline. She was really cute and passionate, so I have great associations with it. I think "-een" names might make a slight comeback in the next little while, but Paul-names don't seen that "in" right now, so I think this name might remain under appreciated.
