How would you instinctively pronounce this name?
Odeya / Odeyah. If you saw that name written done or on a name badge, how would you assume it was pronounced? And what do you think of it? Thanks.Sarah -

I would say o-DEH-ya, like Mireya mee-REH-ya, pretty nice name in general, but not my preferred style.

I would say oh-DAY-uh. It's okay.

Oh-DAY-uhIt seems to go with the other names in your sibset! It seems pretty gender neutral to me as well.

It’s actually a beautiful feminine Hebrew name meaning I will thank God, ode to God.

O-day-ah or Ode-ya or O-die-ah maybe. I wouldn't know how to pronounce it, so I would probably make a mess of it and ask the person for clarification.

oh-DAY-aIt reminds me of the word "odious".

Oh really? That’s unfortunate! :)

oh DAY uh. I quite like the sound of it, but not enough to use.

I would assume it would be said VERY similar to the name, "Adaiah" (uh-DAY-uh) but an "O" sound at the beginning. I find it pleasant. It's unique (or possibly rare) without being TOO out there and has a lovely sound to it. I'd spell it as Odeya. I find 'h' unnecessary.

You are correct, it is o-DAY-uh. It’s a beautiful feminine Hebrew name meaning I will thank God, ode to God. You can legitimately spell it Odeya or Odeyah. I like either spelling, but probably gravitate more towards Odeyah, as it derives from the Hebrew “òdeyáḣ”.

This was one I asked you about awhile back when I saw you mention it. I think it's beautiful and unique, but not in a trendy/superficial way if that makes sense; like I can tell it has substance/meaning behind it.Anyway, I pronounce it oh-DAY-uh.
