HelpMonica and Chandler
So I have this... friend, who is convinced that we're getting married. Of course I'm not as sure as he is, we're both too young for that, but we've been talking about baby names just for fun. He doesn't like a lot of my "out there" names, but here are the few less "out there" names that we've come to agree with.
Boy:
Roman Lake
Flynn Britton
Girl:
Evelyn (no middle name yet)
Valarie Mae
Luna (I'm not as sure about this one)
Monica June
First of all, what do you all think about these names? They're more common, which I don't love, but I really like the names themselves.
Then secondly, I looooove the name Monica. However, this friend of mine is named Chandler. Wouldn't it be weird to have a girl named Monica with a dad named Chandler? People may think that I named her after the Friends character? I like Friends well enough, but not THAT much.

Roman and Flynn are nice but Lake and Britton are not that great. Evelyn is pretty and has a lot of possibility in terms of middle name ideas. Evelyn Rosemarie, Evelyn Hope, Evelyn Joy, Evelyn Katherine, Evelyn Victoria etc. I dislike this spelling of Valerie I think the original is your best bet or she would be fighting with autocorrect all her life. Mae is kind of a boring filler name so I'd avoid it if at all possible. Luna is lovely it's just a little tainted with popularity but if your cool with that I think it's the best of your ideas tbh. Very lovely. I know a little girl named Luna Rae, as in moonlight, and I love it. Monica is a little dated at the moment but it's still okay, not the greatest but it's fine. June is a nice middle name that's a side step away from the standard middles Marie, Elizabeth, Jane etc. It's nice I want it to make a comeback.

Meh. It’s not that weird. Now something that would be weird is a Dad named Romeo with a daughter Juliet, or a Dad Tristan with an Isolde. I associate it with Friends, but at first glance it isn’t that obvious. If you actually think about it, it’s pretty normal. If it ever bothers you that much you can always put it as a middle name.
Roman is beautiful. I love it. Lake as a middle name would be really interesting on a boy. Especially since I’m so used to seeing it on a girl with names like Vivian Lake.
Flynn Britton? I can’t say I like it, but not the worse I ever heard. Would be pretty cool on a British person though.
Evelyn is a meh name for me. I prefer Lynn if not just Eve. Not bad. Evelyn Beatrice, or Evelyn Marigold would be cool for me.
Valarie is interesting. Although I prefer Valerie, Valarie Mae is quite pretty.
I LOOOOVE Luna! I’m kinda pissed it got so popular to be honest. Personally I love the combos Luna Rosemary, Luna Dawn, Luna Séraphine, and Luna Maxine.
Monica June! Not bad! June gives me very nice and warm feelings. Monica is a bit meh but I think it’s pretty okay.

ahhh thank you so much for that! Britton is a family name which is why I chose it. I recently realized that it's actually spelled Britten, which may be better?

Chandler loves Luna, too! I just had a guinea pig named Luna which may be my only hang-up there, haha! I LOVE Luna Maxine; Maxine is a very strong female name which is an awesome plus.
