Avril
When I was in primary 6 around 10/11 years old and my sister was in primary 5 around 9/10 years old both of us had class teachers named Avril. It is the only time I’ve ever met people named Avril. WDYT?

Too much of a word name to me, I can only think of the month, and the "VREEL" sound is kind of shrill.

Former PM of Canada Kim Campbell's real name was Avril Phaedra, and that combo helped me appreciate this name. Although I think it was spelled Avrill in her case. I like Avril, April, Abril, all the april names, I think they're pert, bright, and smart. There's also something a little bit timeless about it, in that it feels like it could work on anyone born any time in the last, oh, 250 years. Like I could see a Victorian Avril as easily as a one-year-old Avril. Avril feels less dated than April, which has a strong 70s-80s vibe to me.

I think it's really ugly in look and sound. It looks and sounds like a medicine, like Advil. April is so much prettier.

I kind of like it.

I much prefer April. If not that Aveline is best.

I actually like Avril, and prefer it to April (it doesn't have the "ape" issue). However, given that it's not a common name my absolute first association is the singer Avril Levigne... for good or ill.

Very harshI don't like it. It's better than April, though.

It's pretty. I slightly like April more, though.

It is 100% Avril Lavigne to me. I prefer the sound of April.
