Makayla
Makayla means “who is like God?”. What do you think of the name?"People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing all day."'*•.¸♡ Have a great day/night! ♡¸.•*' Rate my personal name list please :) https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/217493

It’s so so dated. There was a huge trend for Mc-names for a while, which overlapped with the cutesy, meaningless k-l name trend (Keely, Kaylee, Kyla, etc.) to make various respellings of Michaela a contagious, inescapable disease for a number of years. I was glad when it petered out and I’m not anxious for a relapse.

It sounds like it was made of plastic, and the spelling is ugly.

It reminds me of a tropical bird. Pretty! A bit loud. Could be mystical. Not 'proper'...it's transliterated, anyway, though.

If spelled Michaela, then perfectly fine. Makayla on the other hand is just trendy and rather horrible. I knew someone when I was 16 who had a daughter and named her Makayla and at the time, I just thought, uh whatever, it’s ok. But the more I thought about it and the older I got, the more I couldn’t stand that spelling!

I like it, but I prefer it spelled Mikayla.

I much prefer the spelling of Michaela

Pretty sound, not very pretty spelling.
The spelling kinda feels to me like someone forgot it's a form of Michael, and instead it is Kayla with a fashionable Muh- prefix.
I like it better pronounced with a Mee or Mih sound at the front.
I like Mikhaila or Micaela more. Miguela is cute too.

HideousDated and grating. Michaela at least looks less violent.

Michaela is fine. Makayla just looks uneducated.

It is a creative spelling of Michaela and I dislike the way it looks. The Skandinavian Mikaela is the best spelling, in my opinion. Michaela is fine too. Mikayla and McKayla looks pretty bad. But Makayla is even worse. It really looks as if you heard it somewhere and had no idea how to spell it.Sorry :(

Not a fan of it. I like Michael better, for a girl.

Very very common for my generation. Very 2000s trendy, which isn't a bad thing. I do like this name with this spelling the best. Makayla and Kayla are miles better than Kayley, imo.

I really hate this name, sorry. I have bad associations with this name, plus it sounds bratty and mean.

I love it; it's our daughter's middle name. I think now I slightly prefer the spelling Mikayla, but this is one name that I prefer in its less traditional spelling. (The newer spellings are now much more popular than the original.)
