Don’t love it. But one of my favs is Rosaura, which includes aura!
Also love Aurora, Aurelie and Aurelia.

I like it. It's nicer than Laura and not as awkward to say as Aurora. It has a nice meaning and isn't overused.I don't think it sounds hippie-ish at all. I could see it paired with names like Maia and Lucy or Ruby.

It's a dictionary word, and not a particularly attractive one. And it's also far too close to the ludicrous Audra!

I don't really go for the sound of it. I like Audra and Aurelia, and Ara or Arra or Arya ... but Aura seems a bit harder to say. It's like Aurora, said too fast. It's usable but not as good as Arya IMO.Also I think of migraine aura, which is a very negative association for me.

I like how flowy and mystical it sounds. Like faye name.

I do have a friend named Aura, but I think it's a bit weird.

I understand the appeal for the meaning but this name has always sounded ugly to me. It’s short, abrupt, and just a weird sound all together. It sounds like a yawn.

She has a pink aura...her aura is a little off..It's an awkward word and even more awkward sound. I would expect Aura to have siblings called Loveday and Moon.
