I enjoy Tigerlily very much, but I have a feeling I am in the minority here. I've read opinions in the past that equate the name with racial stereotypes (the character in Peter Pan being the main reason); but my main association is... well, the flower.

It's pet-like, but too ridiculous and sickly sweet even for that.

As a middle name I think it could actually work, but as a first name it’s a hard pass. I would prefer just the simple Lily. It’s spunky and cool though.

I think it's a really spunky middle name idea & just filled with personality. A little bit too eccentric for a first name but total useful in the realm of middles. I first gave it some thought when I was in Middle School and first reading a book whose human protagonist was named Tiger whom I had a close emotional attachment to because we both had similar harships. Tiger is maybe a shade in the realm of too eccentric but to mean Tigerlily is still in the scope of usable. It's energetic, friendly and gives off nothing but positive vibes.

Whimsical, a little kitsch.
I don't mean that in a really negative way. It's just, like any name that is that wordy and unusual - it makes a strong impression.
A strong impression can be good or bad depending on context.
There'll be fewer contexts where it seems "cool," and more where it seems "tacky," than a name with a blander impression.

What I personally don't love about it is that, as a name, it's basically Tiger plus Lily ... sweet harmless Lily, plus "hear me roar." Also tigerlilies are pretty showy, visually. So it seems kinda shallow and gimmicky, compared to other more cerebral or pastoral "ultra hippy" names IMO.

For a girl, I assume? I think it makes a cute nickname or middle name, perhaps, but I guess I'm not adventurous enough to use Tigerlily as a full first name. I would name a cat this in a heartbeat.
